Quick Start
I did this route as a quick way to get a well-armed ship but it can also be used as a quick way to get a dromedary (which as well as being the best trading ship can be surprisingly useful in combat as its much more maneouvrable than the Humpback and still has some decent weapon capacity (eg. pyros, borocco, debilitator) but isn't quite up to beating the Edge world ships). I've left out the grid coordinates partly as it isn't really intended for noobs (half the fun is discovering this stuff yourself and also its quite tricky) and partly because I can't be bothered...
1. Start at PLANET MANHATTAN. Buy a level two shield. Fly to the wreck FLINT and collect the goodies.
2. Sell at PLANET MANHATTAN. Buy a Rhino ship and some weps.
3. Blow up the middle of the storage depots outside Manhattan and collect the polymers.
4. Sell at BALTIMORE SHIPYARD. Blow up the silver storage depots and collect the H-fuel.
5. Sell at PLANET MANHATTAN and then get the remaining polymers if you left some before.
6. If so sell again at BALTIMORE SHIPYARD. Then go to FORT BUSH.
7. Buy Optronics and sell at PLANET HOUSTON, Texas. Buy Engine Components.
8. Sell at MACTAN BASE, Magellan. Buy a dromedary ship and as much cardamine as you can.
9. Go to the BALBOA wreck in California for extra weps and cardamine.
10. Sell at PLANET MANHATTAN. You're sorted now. Buy luxury consumer goods.
11. Sell at AINU DEPOT, Hokkaido. Now we're going to Honshu you can either blow up trains or buy Cardamine to
12. Sell at ROPPONGI STATION, New Tokyo. Then buy luxury food at PLANET NEW TOKYO and
13. Sell at PLANET HONSHU. Now run the HONSHU-YANAGI-BERLIN-MAINZ-HONSHU route for a while (ADVANCE TO GO route).
14. Collect some lev 10 weps outside Yanagi if possible.
15. Buy optronics at HONSHU and sell at RUIZ BASE, Omicron Beta.
16. Go to PLANET MALTA, Omicron Alpha, with or without engine components and via PATHFINDER and VIKING for more lev 10s if you wish.
17. Buy the sabre and arm it.
18. Kill some nomads for their weapons. Sorted
Steps (3) and (4) a little dangerous but as well as some quick profit, it serves to get the Lane Hackers and the Outcasts neutral with you for later on. I got to (17) after just over 3hrs with over 3mil to spare so plenty of cash for whatever you're going to do next. (Of course Flint must be available to start this route).
